It's all started in an auditioned.
Choi Jong Hoon, leader, guitarist and pianist. One day he received a phone call. The person said that he saw Jonghoon's photo in the net and he ask Jonghoon, if he wanted to be a celebrity? ( Jonghoon was an internet hunk before )
That was the period, were in a really playful, so he just dismissed the call saying "I don't have an interest."
Then one day he started to come at Jonghoon's school and wanting to buy him a meal. So while eating he talked and talked and it slowly tempted Jonghoon's and think.
That time Jonghoon thought that playing around was not the way although he is still young, he need to find his own way.
So after much consideration he called the man. He went for auditioned and got it.
Oh Won Bin, second vocalist and guitarist. He actually audition for FT Island as vocalist. He wasn't a guitarist in the beginning.
But when he performing with guitarist Jonghoon, his guitar sound stuck Wonbin right away.
Wonbin love the electic and acoustic guitar, but before he knew it he was playing the guitar.
Lee Hong Ki, lead vocalist. He was a very mischievous boy who have many friends. He admitted that he was a troublemaker, when he was young.
He had his acting debut when he was young, because of his uncle who was a fashion model. He let Hongki to attend in fashion show and other event, were Hongki met the man who offered him an acting role.
He step his acting career during his turbulent days and started to become serious about music, he love sing so much, he went for audition and luckily passed it. That's how he joined the group.
Choi Min Hwan, drummer. The youngest of the group he wanted to act when he was young and he tried it once and that time he met Hongki. It was during of his elementary school.
His acting debut in year 2009 in KBS1 with th TV series THE RODE HOME.
His acting debut playing drum when he was in 6th grader and went for audition in FNC. Entertainment when he was 14 and luckily got it.
Lee Jae Jin, bassist. Even through Jaejin only follow his sister to the company to play and started his life as a performer due to that. But now it he's life and dream.
Jaejin said "Slowly do the things that you really want step by step is the most important". He is a serious boy who hates disorganized things.
His debut acting is year 2007 in KBS2 with TV series UNSTOPPABLE MARRIAGE.
Jaejin considered as the brain of the group.
Before they came up with their group name FT Island. There agency choose several funny names for them like Super Five Heroes, Honey Punch and Green Bean.
When they finally choose FT Island. The member of the band think that there name was too childish. But as time goes by and they become more famous they realize the real meaning of their names. Ther fans called Primadonna.
FTI as initial of Five Treasure Island as a reflection of Five Treasure member of group of boy band. They are supposed to be officially when releasing their first album called "Cheerful Sensibility".
On June 7, 2009 the group performed their debut song "Love Sick" on the music television program M! Countdown. This song stayed on top of the chart for 8 consecutive weeks in Korea. They received their first #1 M! Countdown.
Love sick is a front of their first album, cheerful sensibility it was released another album entitled "The Refreshment." The album was re-released on December 3, 2007 with three extra songs.
Their first concert was held in Thailand instead, at the Royal Paragon Hall the following month.
After their promotional activities ended the group returned to Korean album Colorful Sensibility on August 27, 2008. A follow-up Ep. Colorful Sensibility part 2, was released on October 17, 2008.
FT Island has been very busy doing their guesting. There shows like Hangul Island, Treasure Boys and Ft Island Show. Also performing in there concerts and album.
There a time that Hongki was having a trouble in a performances because of his throat infection, while performing he can't sing well, because he was sick, after the incident he was immediately rush in the hospital.
Later that year, FT Island released "The One", their first Japanese commercial single, which hit #9 on the Oricon Daily Charts. It is because it was the last album they've done with Wonbin.
On January 28 FNC Music announced that the guitarist Oh Won Bin suddenly left the band. Because there were long time differences with the other members and the music personality.
January 2009 in their fan meeting Wonbin read his goodbye letter for his fans. Wonbin become n FNC trainee again and started to go in a university. After he left FT Island, he sang an OST for the drama You're Beautiful where Lee Hong Ki acting.
"It's hard for us to see him leaving, but he wanted to pursue his dream his own music, we will always be support him even if he's not part of FT Island anymore we will always be a friend". FT Island said.
FT Island's management (FNC) few days after Wonbin left they introduce the new member of the band.
Song Seung Hyun he was the new member of the band. He has the same age with Minhwan. He was called Mr. 2000 because 3 months after he joined FT Island he brought 200 fans.
But sadly there are more anti-fans as they pass by the anti-fans increased by the day it brought to 2400 anti-fans. Although it is not his fault why Wonbin left.
Seungyun stated: "since I've just recently joined the group, I will be looking lots of experienced, however I will try my best to not fall behind and will work hard to gain the love of fans."
Seunghyun also try to auditioned in a stage play with Jaejin, but Jaejin got the lead role "Sonagi". He alse participated in a variety show Maknae Rebellion.
Hongki And Jonghoon also started their school days in university along side with former member Oh Won Bin. Jaejin also starts singing. Jonghoon also participate in another show called Mnet Scandal.
Today Seunghyun have more fans than anti-fans. And for Wonbin's fan like Seunghyun. The other Primadonna are still supporting for Oh Won Bin.
